Aerospace Education Officer; Bill Jackson, Capt, CAP

Aerospace Education is defined as that branch of general education concerned with communicating knowledge, skills, and attitudes about aerospace activities and the total impact of air and space vehicles upon society. Aerospace Education is a one of three primary missions of the Civil Air patrol. It is one of the purposes stated in Public Law 476, which incorporated the Civil Air Patrol on July 1, 1946.
Clicking on the AE seal above will take you to the Aerospace Education member page of the Civil Air Patrol National Headquarters site. Civil Air Patrol has educational materials available that are written to meet national standards. There is also a newsletter available on this site with activities and links. In addition, the book Aerospace: The Journey of Flight is an introduction to all areas of aerospace for both older teens and adults. In addition to the traditional text book, it is also downloadable on-line hrough the eServices page at www.cap.gov. It forms the basis of the AE Program for Senior Members (AEPSM). Passing a test on the book qualifies CAP members for the Yeager Award.
